Overall, it was nice. I probably wouldn't return, but it was a nice change of pace from the usual.

Waiting time is considerable but still acceptable.

Festive menu was quite a let down. Jamie should be embarrassed w/ the quality of food served in this restaurant. I ordered slow cooked oxtail w/ pasta - couldn't really find the oxtail in what looked like a bowl of one-pot pasta dish w/ mince. And what's w/ putting pressure on customers for typing in the $tip on top of the pricey bill - so uncalled for. The $35 2-course menu + $6.95 drink I paid for that was 3/4 ice was such a rip-off. Sorry, Jamie - never going back to your restaurant. I will only recommend this restaurant to those who are on a diet & have nothing else to spend their money on. Now to get some real Italian food.

We had a reservation (definitely required!) for 2 at 6PM on a Thursday and it was packed - a couple before us without a reservation were told there was a two hour wait. The website is excellent for making reservations and is a must-do.

Feel like this place has gone down hill a bit. Haven't been in Perth for about 2 years ; last time we were here, the service was amazing. All specials explained to you, good pairings (food/drinks) were advised. Well thought out service with amazing food and good prices. This time around, service was very average, the prices had increased quite significantly ($32 for a decent main meal) compared to the last few visits. Portion sizes had definitely gone down quite a bit which was a bit disappointing.

The restaurant was very busy and even though there were lots of servers, it took a fair while to get staff attention. Additionally, be aware that staff ask for a tip at the end of the meal. We ended up tipping as apparently it goes to the staff (and not the restaurant) but it was a bit awkward!

All round, Jamie's is great food, no question. However, value for money and service just isn't there anymore. Sad to see, given that it was one of Perth's best restaurants a while back. Won't fault its food though; incredibly well cooked fish/meats.

Drinks are very high priced - soft drinks $5/glass, all cocktails $17/glass - even for Perth standards, this is pretty steep. Food wise, the portions are small. We had the Italian nachos as an entree, which was fried ravioli with some sort of delicious sauce (sorry, forgot to take note!). It was excellent and between two people, we had about 5 ravioli each. For mains, we got two small portions of the meat ($13.50) and veg ($12.25) bolognaise. Both were delicious, but portions are very small - unless you're only in the mood for a small dinner, I'd recommend going for the large.

I was thinking it would be expensive with small portions. I couldn't have been more wrong. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were very decent. Terrific food and great staff.

Pretty crowded even on weekdays. Get a reservation on a weekend.

Perth outlet of the Italian/Mediterranean style restaurant chain of the British star chef. If you have been to one before you know what awaits you as the menu is uniform including also the "plank" with its iconic Italian tomato cans (just check the exliry date, but no worries: you won't get served these).
